CRA Campus Organizer Program

With support from the AFT’s Powerful Partnership Institute, the CUNY Rising Alliance is proud to launch the CRA Campus Organizer Program in the Fall Semester of 2024. Our first three cohorts were composed of students, faculty and staff across 20 CUNY schools who educated, organized and mobilized their campus communities to fight for a Free and Quality Higher Education.

This Fall our aim is to identify 10-12 students, faculty, or staff who will work with partners and help build CRA chapters on their campuses. Chapters will engage in weekly meetings, weekly canvassing on campus, and other project areas such as communications, coalition building, base building, research, and legislative advocacy. These project areas will help to build our movement for public higher education and to help us fight for a free and quality City University of New York. Each campus team will ideally be made up of two students and one faculty or staff member.
